As a professional American Football Team, players from the Los Angeles Rams have been through their fair share of rigorous training sessions. In October, however, they took part in a work-out with a difference as over 100 children from Oasis Academy Byron joined them for their warm-ups for their game this Sunday.
In the UK to take part in the National Football League’s International Series first ever match-up to be held at Twickenham Stadium, the LA Rams will be playing American Football heavyweights, the New York Giants. Ahead of their final preparations, the LA Rams invited local schoolchildren from Oasis Academy Byron to Surrey Sports Park to meet some of their players and take part in fun training activities.
On arrival the pupils were provided with LA Rams t-shirts and introduced to many of the players, some of the LA Rams cheerleaders and the LA Rams mascot, Rampage the Ram. Also there to greet the children was retired Ram’s hero and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Marshall Faulk. Having met the stars, the children then got to take part in a carousel of training activities culminating in a game of non-contact tag American Football.
