Oasis Academy Pinewood awarded IQM Flagship award for second time running

Oasis Academy Pinewood has been awarded the Quality Inclusion Mark Flagship Status Award for their dedication to inclusivity and equality.

The Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) provides schools with a recognised framework for inclusion, empowering them to improve and develop. A Flagship School stretches this further by undertaking research internally into inclusion and best practice.

The Academy were delighted to have been awarded the IQM Flagship School status and accreditation for the Inclusion Quality Mark for the second time.

“We are very proud of our staff and students for all their contributions to creating a safe, secure and inclusive environment at our Academy. It is because of their character that we are able to call ourselves one of around 100 schools in the UK with the Flagship School status” said Principal Jenni Elliott.

“We aim to create an atmosphere of equality and consideration within our walls and in the wider community and are thrilled to have received this award again.”

A representative from the IQM said “It continues to be evident that all in the school are committed to maintaining and extending the inclusive ethos within the Oasis 9 habits and the Rights Respecting philosophy.”

“Your values- based approach is embedded in the whole school culture and serves to ensure that adults and children embody the strong ethos that has developed where everyone is aware of the importance of developing the whole-person in order to achieve their full potential.”

London and South East Regional Director for Oasis Community Learning, Kirstie Fulthorpe, was pleased that the Academy has maintained its status and accreditation.

“We are delighted for Oasis Academy Pinewood, they truly deserve this award. The Academy is Outstanding in its personal development, behaviour and welfare of pupils and has already been recognised for its inclusive ethos and positive attitude by Ofsted.

Jenni and her team are true ambassadors of the Oasis ethos and inspiration for us all across the Oasis family.”

The Academy have celebrated the good news and are looking forward to displaying their awarded status to the community.
